Gifts are a blessing! What a joy to receive an unexpected gift or a gift that is lovingly and carefully crafted just for me! Students are doing just that today as a part of the Crafting Christmas Shoppe. Our Savior also tailors a special gift of salvation for each of us. We are to accept that gift and share it [His love] with all people! During this Christmas Season we are reminded of the gift God has prepared through His Son Jesus. We are reminded every year. Lets encourage each other to give thanks to Him and pass the gift on in love.
We conclude a busy week with a healthy room! What a great concert on Tuesday! Thanks for coming and sharing your children to tell the Christmas story! We are excited for the special skating and crafting on Wednesday before vacation. Accept an early Merry Christmas to you!

What is work? In our chapter called Lift It, Push It, Pull It we consider what "work" is. Students made a hypothesis, followed lab directions, and communicated findings.
So what is work? Work is done when a force changes the motion of objects. Students will remind you that setting a table, taking out the garbage, and making a bed will qualify as work. Have fun discussing work! We do work everywhere!

19My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. 21Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. 22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

What do you take for granted? What is so easily overlooked? Many thanks for the hard work in reconnecting our wireless system. It is great to be connected again. The tools that are available to us are a gift. God has truly blessed the DCS family with so many talents and services! Thank you all for your hard work!

Week of December 5
Jesus came to Earth in a human body so He could show us what God is like and so He could help us. In His human body, He could be with people and get to know them as friends. He could feel sadness with them--and happiness. He could listen to their problems and answer their questions. When we read about Jesus while He was on Earth, we can tell by His words and His actions that He had a deep love for people. In fact, He loved people so much that He was willing to let His human body suffer pain and death on the cross so they could have eternal life in Heaven. John 1:14 says, “ The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us….”
In this season of Advent, let’s be glad and accept the One who came for us.

Week of November 28
What a joy to begin a week at Dearborn Christian School with a time of worship! Mrs. B reminded the students and teachers of what she has found to be true as a follower of Christ. Areas of response she explained should occur as we prepare to be His children. Our heart and body and mind will show to others these specific key words.

Contentment

We have a Savior who loves us and we should respond to Him!
